DESCRIPTION:Unpolished: UX Office Hours is a monthly\, in-person gathering for UX designers and researchers of all experience levels. There’s no formal speaker and no slides—just a light theme\, optional co-working\, and space to talk through real work with other UX folks in Austin. \n\n\n\nThis month’s theme is Research in the Wild. \n\n\n\nWhat we’ll focus on\n\n\n\nResearch rarely goes exactly as planned. Interview guides change. Notes get messy. Stakeholders want answers you don’t quite have yet. \n\n\n\nResearch in the Wild is a space to talk through the in-between moments of UX research\, including: \n\n\n\n\nInterview plans you’re still shaping\n\n\n\nSynthesis that feels fuzzy or incomplete\n\n\n\nTranslating qualitative insights into decisions\n\n\n\nNavigating stakeholder expectations and buy-in\n\n\n\n\nWhat to expect\n\n\n\n\nCo-working time to settle in and work alongside others\n\n\n\nOffice hours–style conversations around research challenges\n\n\n\nOptional show & tell at the end (5 minutes\, one artifact\, totally voluntary)\n\n\n\n\nBring a discussion guide\, a question\, a messy insight—or just come listen. \n\n\n\nWho should come\n\n\n\n\nUX researchers\n\n\n\nDesigners who do research\n\n\n\nProduct folks involved in discovery\n\n\n\nStudents and career-changers learning the ropes\n\n\n\n\nAll experience levels are welcome. \n\n\n\nWhy “Unpolished”?\n\n\n\nBecause real research is rarely clean or linear.
