What this is
Unpolished: UX Office Hours is a monthly, in-person gathering for UX designers and researchers. No speaker. No slides. Just space to work, reflect, and learn from each other.
This month’s theme is Portfolio & Storytelling Lab.
What we’ll focus on
Strong UX work doesn’t always translate into a strong story.
This session is about how we talk about our work — especially when it’s messy, collaborative, or AI-assisted.
We’ll explore:
- Framing impact (not just screens)
- Turning messy process into a clear narrative
- Explaining AI-supported workflows honestly
- Showing strategic thinking in case studies
- Representing research clearly and ethically
This is not a formal portfolio review — it’s a working lab. Bring a draft, a question, or a story you’re trying to sharpen.
What to expect
- Optional co-working time
- Small group feedback conversations
- Light structure to keep critique constructive
Bring your laptop — or just bring curiosity.
Who should come
- Designers updating their portfolio
- Researchers refining case studies
- Anyone thinking about career growth
- Students and career changers
All experience levels welcome.
Why “Unpolished”?
Because your portfolio is always evolving. This is a space to refine the story before it’s finished.
